the ground sits on top of a roiling digital ocean. you can walk on top of it, but if you punch a hole in it you can go fishing anywhere you like. the roiling nature of the land and the fact that you can just open a menu to fix the ground whenever, and the fact that you can stop the simulation locally and freeze the terrain within a defined boundary also makes this virtual world great for setting up and playing dynamic and unworldly games of golf.
