Heheh... Oh, dear! It looks like Shantae's fallen prey to a special little trap courtesy of Risky Boots!

Yeah, we wanted to do something cute with Shantae for a while and wound up going all-in on the background for this one. Just tried to nail it as hard as we could. There's like a billion layers for it and everything....

Convenient how that timing shakes out I guess.

But yeah, this one sat unfinished for a looooooong time. Like for ages, I think maybe like a year or two? Pretty sure at a point we worked on it while Adam was laid up in a hotel room in the aftermath of a hurricane and that was a long time ago at this point. Either way we eventually got around to polishing up and finishing it, then we did some quick shading (and a couple of other small touchups) on it before actually submitting it to DA. Not anything too huge but think helps to make it look a little flashier at least.

Really is a series we should do more with. And that I should play more of. I own all the games and there's a lot I like about the series but the only one I've really properly dug into and finished is Half-Genie Hero.
