Riser Factions: Æsir (3)

The Æsir are one of two major Pantheons of the Norse Gods, alongside the Vanir. They are more battle-oriented than the Vanir, who focus on aspects such as nature and fertility. Nonetheless, when the two factions warred, the Æsir failed to best the Vanir, and a stalemate came up as a result, and the two became one unified Pantheon.

The three original Æsir were Odin, Vili and Vé, and their children via Giantesses were also regarded as Æsir. Though, blood heritage was not enforced to decide who is an Æsir, for Loki, who is a Jötunn, and Njörðr, a Vanir hostage, were also referred to as part of the Æsir.

While starting off as an average Pantheon, their machinations have slowly made them transcend their limits, eventually becoming a particularly strong faction. Thor had eventually merged with aspects of the True Absolute, becoming a near-Perfect Being on the level of O-Legion.

Their chosen hosts are those of the Wion Clan, or at least anyone with their blood. The hosts tend to have a growth spurt as they tap into the Æsir's powers.
