Apr - 3 week 4 year

When I got home from work, my Aunt Jenny was checking the mail and handed me a letter.
In the letter was my new motorcycle license, to get it I had to pay and pass a highway code test.
It's just the basic level, but I can drive motorbikes and scooters.
My uncle had a scooter that he no longer used, he had told me that I could use it once I got the license.
I didn't want to wait, in the garage my uncle explained how to use the scooter and answered my questions.
In a way, it's almost like riding a bicycle, but faster and I don't have to pedal.
I decided to practice first in a nearby car park, it was not a good idea to drive between moving cars without being prepared.
I had only planned to practice a little and come back, but I was having fun, I thought about Rose and I wanted to be with her, so I texted her that I would stop by her house.
Picking Rose up on a scooter wasn't that impressive, but her enthusiasm made you think I was coming in a car.
Of course, Rose wanted to go for a ride and I wasn't going to refuse, I gave her my other helmet and invited her to hop in.
I had to "explain" to Rose that she had to put her hands on my waist, not my chest.
I noticed riding the scooter with someone else was a little different, like the difference between an empty shopping cart and a full one.
Rose suggested we go to a park that was a bit far to walk, but that was fine since we had the scooter.
That park had a small lake with some ducks, Rose and I were relaxing a little bit looking at the water.
We were flirting a bit when we saw a duck approaching.
We were taken by surprise when the duck jumped out of the water, squawking and flapping its wings.
The duck was in front of us, flapping its wings, I tried to push it away with a stick that I grabbed.
Two more ducks joined him and we decided to run away before they pecked us.
They chased us for a little while, but we managed to escape unscathed, perhaps with our pride a little hurt by being chased away by some big birds.
