Heian court
An illustration I made of two ladies from the Heian Period (794Ad-1185) Japan. They are wearing a twelve layer kimono called a Junihitoe. I’ve been wanting to do a piece like this for years. Done on 18x24 (is now smaller because I cropped it) Fabriano Bristol vellum paper.
