Windmill Kingdom Map
A map showing the duchies and counties of the Windmill Kingdom.
The Windmill Kingdom is unique in the Wonder Planet in that it governs itself by a feudal system with a number of noble houses under the royal family. The kingdom is divided into five duchies (including the Royal Province on the Barbardo Plateau). Aside from the Royal Province and the Great Forest Duchy (home of the Bird People whose leader serves in the role of their duke), each duchy is divided further into five counties. One county is the ducal seat ruled directly by the duke (or duchess) while the other four are ruled by counts (or countesses) who answer to the duke who in turn answer to the king.
Municipal and administrative offices (such as mayor or sheriff) are democratically elected, but are beholden to their noble as much as the people (and the choices of candidates are curated by said noble).
The borders of the duchies are noted by different colors and thicker lines. The borders between their subservient counties are of the same color and the lines are thinner and simpler.
