The Summer Between Storms
A Request I was asked to do a while ago by a fellow on DeviantArt for one of their OC's. Or at least I am assuming it's one of their OC's, I didn't ask too many questions past what they had an idea about.
I am very sorry this too so long, I had absolutely no intention of that. I wanted it done months ago but summer is always busy for me, which was compounded by car stuff, construction, and a bunch of animals I had to take care of.
I decided to try and use it to test out some more shadowy stuff, and I think I finally found a way to keep my linework from succumbing to large swaths of shadows without a garish glowing outline. And it doesn't even look too bad, either.
I did a bit more background work as well, mostly just more intensive details because I find it fun just going around making random marks mean something. It's what I do best. The floor here is also probably the most unintentionally "3D' thing I've ever actually done in my style, and I am not sure how to feel about that. However I think I am getting "fluffy" fur down better, so thats nice.
This was very much a "textures are required" kind of thing, since the color palette, by the nature of the setting, is very similar across the board, so it was interesting to try and make that work, which I think I did. You can at least tell everything is a different material, if nothing else.
I hope everyone enjoys, I should be back making more stuff again.

As such I do not own the subject of this piece, I just drew them
Key Music Listened To For This: a "Bardcore" version of "Pumped Up Kicks" worked disturbingly well for setting the idea and tone of the subject, considering she is suppose to be from a kinda-sorta Medieval-like world, with more Bardcore versions of "Blinding Lights" and "Pompeii" thrown in for flavor.
