Aurora Sketch Lineart

Aurora ended up being the second choice for my drawing practice after some debate. This came after I wrote a significant chunk of her character in the Embra stories "Shantae and the Return of Embra" and "Star and the Golden Salt" and immediately fell in love with this energetic (and cute) Siren girl!

In Paint, this was the easy part. And I adore how well the x4 canvas makes the character look! Aside from a line correction on her left hand, it didn't take me too long to get her details down - including that endearing razor-tooth smile! That's key to her character, and I'm surprised to this day I pulled it off! In all, this part probably took me an hour or less.

... Unfortunately, the ordeal was soon to come. Coloring her in took the rest of the 10 total hours I spent on her!

Aurora is a character created by me for a fanfiction (also written by me) of the Shantae series. The characters and concepts for that series belong to Shantae creators Matt and Erin Bozon, and game developer WayForward.
