Chibi myths: Krampus
Last year we had started a little project called "Myhtober", where each day of October we'd draw the lineart of a chibi mythological creature, and these would have eventually been put all together in a tiny coloring book. In the end we didn't have the time to go through with that, but this doesn't mean we can't revive the project in another form ;)
So expect a little creature to pop up in your feed sometimes, and today's myth is... the krampus!
The krampus is an horned, humanoid creature linked to the winter holidays celebration in the folklore of Europe, specifically the Alps area, being a definitely more aggressive counterpart to Santa Claus. Whereas Santa rewards good children with gifts, the krampus looks for the naughty children to punish them, often beating them up with birch rods.
