My Friend Lily's Pool Party

Doing another re-draw/edit of a Dan DeCarlo cover, this time from Archie No. 238. In the original Archie and Jughead are the ones asked Betty and Veronica this question, but I substituted them for Lily the Bare (obviously over dressed) and Crissey (some washed up deviantFart artist who got kicked off the site). I also added Valerie Brown because I like drawing her and Alexandra Cabot because she's Lily's bias. I also changed up Betty's hair because I didn't like style in the original cover. I made a new logo and...I guess that's everything? I gotta say, this redraw was way harder than I thought it'd be. I think in hindsight I should have fixed Betty's proportions, but I think I was following DeCarlo too close on that one. I also think I should have been more mindful of the references I was using for Lily and Crissey because the time era I was using wasn't the same as the cover so they kind of stand out a bit? (maybe I'm being nitpicky on that one). The hardest part, thought, were those f*cking trees. Dear God in heaven this was supposed to be an easier picture than the beach one. Guess not.
