Sometimes, two champions who definitely don't want to be in melee end up in melee. Who wins out then is often a coin flip. Surprisingly often, it's Ahri. Her abilities are still incredibly formidable at close quarters, unlike trying to fumble with a crossbow at point blank range.

By the time her victims wake up from their magical attraction, they find themselves completely locked up. The fox usually uses her window of opportunity to restrict them into a brutal submission, to ensure they can't turn the fight against her.
