Kalandra

So far the only human race in Saraphia (the Gardosi went extinct in a last ditch effort to prevent the Deijango (Day-Hon-Joe) from spreading throughout the galaxy: it failed). They are a race of vampires, but instead of sucking on blood, they such on the nutrients of fruits and vegetables, giving them the nickname Fruit Vampires or Vegpires. Inspire of their vegetarian diet, they hate "aliens" (Humanoids and Non-Humans) as their Qythparsh (God Emperor) wills it.

It was only up until half way through the millennial war that some start to become self-aware and question their orders from their Qythparsh. And by the final years of the war, they rebelled following the death of James Zavier and later his accomplish Adrian Cortez. Adrian died of a heartattack upon gazing the non-violent yet successful Quiet Rebellion.

And with his death, the empire began restructuring itself from theocratic dictatorship into a constitutional autocracy. Though the Qythparsh retains the title, the power now belongs to the people, including the Imperial Senate.

When Marcus Carpenter took over, the empire at this point has already divided between three sides. The Separatists (those who wish to co-exist with the humanoids and non-humans), the Loyalists (those who found opportunity with Marcus' promises) and the Rogues (those who sought to rule the empire and the galaxy without a Qythparsh).

The Spear represents the common polearm of the empire and the ascension of mankind over the aliens into the larger galaxy.
