Miles Edgeworth & Kay Faraday

Even though Miles doesn't really know what happened as a kid, he was raised by a guardian with the Von Karmas. And as a grown up his name was clear, thanks to his friend and he arrested his guardian who was the one actually killed his dad. However, he did raise him to become a prosecutor really well as a kid, but he was also impressed by his detective skills. So he wasn't just a prosecutor, but a detective partner with gumshoe.
Kay Faraday is not like all the thieves who make heists, she's just a thief who only steals information, and she's a second group of the vigilant theievs called Yatagarasu. The organization basically steals any type of information gathered to the police and help them make sure they arrest the true culprit. In other words, when Kay first met Miles kidnapped and laugh a little at his funny noise he made, he help him get free and find the true culprit that kidnapped him. So now he became Miles's assistant but she only help him investigate in the shadows.
