Thank you everyone for voting on Rin's legs! It was really helpful, and in quite an unexpected way where it helped me to arrive at an entirely new variant that I didn't initially consider.
Now, I was thinking: before I were to roll out such a big change, I might as well consider any other big changes I might want to make alongside it, so that I fit them all into one big overhaul, instead of rolling out this big change only to later announce a new big change. Makes sense, I hope?
So another thing beside legs that might be worth considering is nose, or more precisely head. You'll notice not only nose, but also lips and possibly other facial features might differ between the options, this is because they all come as one package, I can't choose nose from one and lips from another.
The "default" option is just the default Koikatsu head, specifically "Type 01". It's what I've always been using for all or mostly all my anime characters so far including vocaloids.
The other options are mods my MrDelegado.
The "rounder" option is "Rounder Nosetip + Sharp Upper Lip 01", and has a rounder nosetip, but also makes something weird to the upper lip. The nose does become noticeably cuter though, doesn't it?
The option I call "semi-real" is actually named "Rounder Nosetip + Bigger Lips 01". Despite the same rounder nosetip in the name, it's a pretty different one, I would say having a semi-realistic look. This is what I've been using for all my Soviet characters since here: illust/108697833 So it would make my anime characters closer in style to my Soviet characters. If I were to choose this, should I also use the same realistic iris I use for Soviet characters? Downsides of "semi-real" nose: bigger lips are bigger indeed, I have to scale the whole mouth to compensate, which then affects mouth expressions; also there's actually weird artifacts around the nose, but those are mostly only visible from very close, as you see they didn't stop me from using on Soviet characters.
The last option is something I first tried today, as I looked through other head options to see if there's anything decent there. It's called "Jasmine Archetype Headmod", implying it's for making characters who look like Jasmine from Disney's Aladdin. It looks like with this head the whole nose is actually noticeable from the front, and not just the tip like with other options. There's a hidden downside: this head doesn't connect to the neck, and I have to lower in on the neck to compensate, effectively making the characters' neck shorter. Notice how in the left column each Rin reaches the one above with the top of her head except for last one - this is because of shorter neck.
