Lejonet 1577

The warship Lejonet buildt in 1570's Strängnäs by the orders of Duke Karl. She was launched in 1577 and she was already for Sea Battles. Thogether with Elefanten was Lejonet to expensive to manage do the Duke had to try saling them to many people even as far as his brother the Swedish king Joahna III. These ships wasn't sold but was operated by the Navy under the Dukes expenses. In 1587 was both Lejonet and Elefanten offered to be sold to Queen Elisabeth of England but was rejected. The ship Lejonet was last mentioned at Nyköping 1591, fate unknown.
