Lele (乐乐)

LELE
Lele is Xiaoxiang's panda companion. Poor Lele was born with dwarfism, leading him to be abandoned by his pack since he would never grow to be a big panda. It was in that state where Xiaolin and Xiaoxiang found him. Taking pity on the panda cub, Xiaoxiang wanted to take care of it, an idea Xiaolin was initially hesitant on. It was Xiaoxiang who gave the panda cub his name of "Lele" (le is the Chinese word for joy, which is what Lele became after being domesticated).

Despite the initial misgivings to the humans, Lele has become fondly attached to Xiaoxiang, and to an extent, Xiaolin even though the latter is not its owner. Fitting for its name, Lele is a big ball of energy, and likes to hang around Xiaoxiang's body, although sometimes it gets too frisky by entering her clothes. This is something even Xiaolin has no idea how to address, although she chalked it up to Lele being a male.

In spite of its diminutive form, Lele is fiercely protective of Xiaolin and especially Xiaoxiang, and will leap into action if it feels either are in danger. Pandas on Orbia are capable of biting and scratching, and Lele can do that too, his favorite target of scratching being faces. Before it got used to its owner, Lele had a penchant for biting Xiaoxiang's fingers, something which the latter will warn about for anyone meeting Lele for the first time.

Cause of its small size as compared to Orbian pandas, we may never know if Lele will be able to find a mate for himself.
