Pokemon -Young Lorelei LAMA Dive
It’s been a while since the last time I drew a picture of my of instead of just colouring linearts, as such I decided to draw another character in LAMA gear. Although this time is a little bit different since I got a request to draw a character this time as well. This request was made by FireMaster92, a fellow Lorelei fan, who wanted me to draw picture of Lorelei in her younger years. Pretty ironic username considering that we fanboy an ice pokemon trainer ^^. In any case, he was kind enough to provide me a design of young Lorelei that I could use to draw my own take of this version of her. This design was drawn by my good friend FankiFalu (please check out his work ^^) with whom I have worked many times in the past, here’s the link to that design:

The drawing process of this picture was relatively straightforward since I got clear references for both young version of Lorelei and her wetsuit details, always nice to have those set so I can focus on other parts of the drawing progress ^^. Funnily enough this is also a proper wetsuit picture that I’ve drawn in a very long time, I usually tend to just draw zero suits for scuba scenes. As a whole they’re not that different to draw, just have to draw scuba gloves a bit differently than hands with zero suits where they’re part of the suit. I used Lorelei’s FRLG colours for her wetsuit here like in the previous picture, here they stand out more since we are no longer in dark depths in an intense situation. These colours definitely fit her young self nicely like her adult version we love, grey and purple work well in wetsuits. Kinda giving me old school vintage wetsuit vibes, except having more vivid colours ^^. Drawing a Seel wasn’t that complex at all either, it is just a white seal without much in terms of colours and details. Gotta love how simple and straightforward Kanto Pokemon were compared to more modern Pokemon, most of them were just animals with some elemental motifs added to them unlike to the crazy mythological stuff we see these days ^^. Overall this was a fun picture to work with in order to get back to drawing, feels good to do linearts by myself instead of just colouring them. It was also enjoyable to put a new spin on my favourite Pokewaifu, can’t have too much art of Lorelei ^^. Big thanks to FireMaster92 for requesting this picture and FankiFalu for the young Lorelei design, I am glad that I was able to make people happy by doing this request ^^.
Hopefully you all like the picture!
