After the Great Depression started in the United States hit this region the following year, as the drought occurred in March caused rice and sugarcane to wither away, people of all ages lined up to receive food rations. But the rice ran out earlier than expected, these kids eventually came home and cried.
アメリカ発の大恐慌が翌年、この地域に影響を与えた後、3月に発生した旱魃のため、稲とサトウキビが枯れて、住民全員が食料を配給しようと並んだ。しかし、米が予想より早く底を突き、この子供たちも結局家に戻って泣いた。
미국발 대공황이 이듬해 이 지역에 영향을 끼친 뒤, 3월에 발생한 가뭄 때문에 벼와 사탕수수가 고사하면서, 아이 어른 할 것 없이 모두 식량 배급을 받으려고 줄을 섰어. 그런데 쌀이 예상보다 일찍 소진되어서, 이 아이들도 결국 집으로 돌아온 뒤 오열했지.
