Azur Cosplay 001: Ulrich - Noel

Recently I got a medical leave of absence from work so I found myself with a bit of free time and a medical prescription to focus on relaxing and being kind to myself, so I decided to indulge my inner 14 years old edgelord and re-watched one of my favorite recent anime, Wajutsushi. Getting to revisit it improved my mood a bit so I wanted to create something related to it.

Previously, I had posted 2 pics featuring Alma from the same show, this time I wanted to focus on Noel, but I wasn't too sure about posting a male character for the first time in this account, lol. So I decided to make an Azur Lane character cosplay as him, among the 700+ characters in AL, the One I determined was the best match due to a balance of shared looks and personality was Ulrich von Huten so I picked her, surprisingly generating my vision turned out easier and quicker than I expect it, I hope you like it.

Originally I generated this picture with glowing red eyes since that is one of Noel's most striking features in his series, but while I was performing the final clean up and retouching in Photoshop I decided to produce an edit with the hue turned into Ulrich's Original Yellow. I think both look great and it is just a matter of preference so I opted for uploading both.

Lastly, I apologize for the lack of posts. I have not been feeling at my best so all of the projects I had set out to do before switching to Animagine V4.0 remain WIP. I said I wanted to challenge my creativity before saying goodbye to V3.1 and I intent to keep that goal. Here is what you can expect during the following days

- An anniversary celebration piece. On march 10th, it marks a full year since my first upload to Pixiv, that being Akagi OL 01 and Akagi OL 02, I will pick an illustration from either of those posts and remake it in my most current style using all the techniques and know-how I have gained during this year using A1111
- Another post of an Azur Lane Character cosplaying as a character from a recent anime. Just as Ulrich here, while I watching a current seasonal anime, the idea came to my mind and it just felt right.
- A piece where I heavily used nature as symbolism to convey mental states and emotions
- A piece where I blend the background with an abstract concept in order to present a theme
- A 20+ pictures set of Tosa getting naughty
- I will finally upload the Akagi OL 04 set as is, this one was made in an old style and it has been over 6 months since I promised it, the thing is, While I love how the skin texture looked with that style, the backgrounds it yields are of very poor quality so I had to heavily make up for it with Photoshop hence why I never got to finish it, it was just too much time investment for a Style that is now obsolete. Even so, I promised it, so I will upload whatever I have ready before the end of the month, this time for real.
