Violet understood the feeling of being left behind, and longing for someone, because she was just like Yukino.
She spoke softly,
"My Major was everything to me. He saved me… taught me the meaning of life, and so many other things. And I finally understood what 'I love you' meant on the day we parted for the last time. But when I heard he was gone… it felt as if my heart died with him."

She lowered her gaze for a moment before continuing,
"There was a time when I almost gave up… I thought that if I disappeared, the pain would vanish with me."

Yukino looked down, her voice faint,
"But he’s not here..."

Violet placed her gloved hand gently over her chest.
"Those who have gone far… they are never truly gone. They live on, within our hearts."
