Khadija (カダイジャ)
Sort of a new character, or reworking an old one, I am not too sure how to say it. Regardless, let's meet the latest addition to the Orbian roster.
KHADIJA MAHER
Planned CV: Kaori Nazuka
The name "Khadija" means "premature", which was exactly what Khadija went through when she was born into the Maher family in the Ganub. The Mahers are a prominent family of priests, and cause of Khadija's premature birth, the family prayed to the pantheon so she would survive childhood. The prayers worked, and that was Khadija's first foray into her family's religious background.
The Ganub worships a myriad of deities, but for the Mahers based in Saqqara, they offer reverence to them as a single pantheon. Ironically, when the Nasr family fell from grace, the Mahers became the prominent healer family that royal personages patronize, so from a young age, Khadija had a strong network of connections to work with.
Khadija comes off as confident, due to her being somewhat of a prodigy in healing, but it can also come off as arrogance at times. Given the circumstances of her birth, Khadija is very devout to the Ganub pantheon, and will defend her faith from any blasphemers. However, since Khadija has been kind of sheltered her whole life, she is not exactly familiar with the plight of the ordinary people, and this is something she will have to address soon. On a more humorous note, since the Ganub is not accustomed to midriff bearing, seeing exposed midriffs and navels is an easy way to make her freak out.
The Ganub region is undergoing a lot of turmoil, and on the advice of her father and uncle, Khadija had to leave her hometown Saqqara. Under the pretext of seeing the world, Khadija sets off with a small entourage. However, Khadija's real goal is to garner support needed to expose the conspiracy that seemed to be plaguing her native homeland.
Khadija lacks any offensive bite at first, but her healing buffs and casting abilities are notable. As noted, Khadija is regarded as a prodigy, and will offer aid on request (though Khadija knows to extract favors as well). Khadija wants to learn more offensive spells, but priests are not exactly trained to fight, which makes progress difficult.
Khadija is classified as a 5-star Earth element healer character, using catalysts or staves.
