On the night of 12/11/563 A.A., the police department of Calgria responded to an explosion that occurred at Calgria’s Essence Tower located in Ashcroft avenue.
Upon their arrival at the scene, a raging fire had already started in the northeastern quarter of the tower. In collaboration with the local fire department, they were able to get the flames under control and investigate the cause of the fire. It was determined that the cause of the explosion was due to improperly stored essences located in laboratory 24-B. This laboratory was under the supervision of the chief director, Mestia Zidane.
Rescuers discovered three victims at the scene: Alexandria Lira (34), Jared Lister (45), and Jezira Aziza (25). All victims were employees of the tower and they were all declared deceased at the scene.
Authorities collaborated with the tower and with director Zidane to identify who had been in charge of the improper use of the essences, which went against standard protocol and laws regulating use of essence for experimentation as stated by the regulatory council.
Provided evidence identified Melissandrei Ouruda, lead researcher, as being in charge of the lab and conducting experiments with essence combinations, a violation of RCAE regulations. We also discovered manifests containing orders for unauthorized essences that Director Zidane had not approved. The orders were all signed by Mrs. Ouruda and provided conclusive evidence that she was the one in charge of the laboratory and was performing illegal experiments behind the rest of the staff.
On the early morning of 12/11/563 A.A., local and council authorities, working together, apprehended Ms. Ouruda at her home for questioning. Authorities subsequently transferred her to the Detention Center of Alizthea-Calgria branch were she remained until her trial.
The trial occurred on 08/05/564 A.A. The district judges of the regulatory council unanimously declared Ms. Ouruda guilty by a seven-vote count.
The court sentenced the accused to a total of 45 years, which will be served in the Maximum Security system.
