“Little Marian’s looking very motherly these days.”

“Yes Klucky, they can see...”

“Oh it’s nothing to be ashamed of lass, every proper wife gains a little baby weight. You’ve just been stacking it, is all.”

“Eh-heh... Perhaps Robin was right when he suggested just six children… A dozen may have been a little overly ambitious.”

“Still… I’ve been busting my keister trying to help her lose the kilos, but every time we finally start to make a little progress, she’s with child again.”

“Well at least all the badminton has slimmed one of us down.”

“Och aye! I haven’t weighed this little since I was a chicklet, I’m so peely wally. Maybe now that I’ve got your old delicate waist I won’t be a lady in waiting much longer, myself, Marian.”

(They laugh)

“Now that you say that Kluck you’ve got me thinking… Do you still have your old girdle laying around..?”

“Aye, but it’s only a matter of time before you’re pregnant again dear.”

“Well, I could wear it in between the next couple pregnancies.”

“I hate to say it Marian… but with the way it’s been going, after this next pup you might actually be too gawsie to squeeze into the poor thing.”

(They laugh again, Marian a little awkwardly)
