Rusalka スケッチ 人魚

This is also one of the few sketches I made for my new project "Demon Women in Bulgarian Mythology".

And this is Rusalka, the Bulgarian word for Mermaid in English. But she don't have fish tail, and don't live in the sea. The Bulgarian Rusalka (Mermaid) live in the rivers in the mountains and all day is brushing her long, long hair. She is beautiful and forever young. She is immortal. She wears long white shirt or nothing at all (naked is better for her). Never ever shows her face. She is hiding her face behind a veil. Some of her sisters have fish tail, (but really rare) or fish scales over the entire body. She have really important mission, but she is too lazy to do it. She must take the morning dew from the flowers (Dictamnus albus L.) and bring it to the field for fertility. She hates humans.
