It's a little late for father's day. I don't think the coloring I did was that successful... I guess the Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf colored pencils don't seem to work as well when trying to do very dark shades. Maybe I can try recoloring this with markers?

Anyway the man is MA Dajun (马大军/馬大軍), a military man who is saying goodbye to his daughter, MA Xiaoyin (马小音/馬小音).

Yaoer (幺儿) is Dajun's nickname for his daughter. It's a common name used in Sichuan province, where Dajun is from.
