personality: pretty oblivious to the world around him, which is probably how he got himself turned into a vampire in the first place (he can’t remember how exactly it happened though). he’s really shy, and doesn’t like to ask for help, which means in general he’s pretty clueless. trying his best to figure the whole vampire thing out, but he’s only been one since ‘91 so he’s still working out the details. he’s a big literature nerd, and since he never sleeps he spends most of his nights reading. very sensitive and loyal when he lets himself get attached to people, but that doesn’t happen often bc he’s worried he’ll hurt them. he really likes plants bc their scent doesn’t make him thirsty (they don’t have blood), and he has like 10 house plants in his tiny dorm room. basically he’s a huge dork that’s oblivious to anything he can’t learn from a book, but he’s really optimistic so it doesn’t faze him. he’s also in love with the 90s, bc that’s as close as he can get to his life as a human.

bio: doesn’t really know where he’s from, if he has any family, or even what his real name is bc he lost all his memories from before he was turned into a vampire. his eyes are actually bright red, but he tries to cover it up with blue contacts (they just end up looking purpleish, though). he moves around a lot bc he doesn’t age, so he has to relocate every few years to keep people from noticing. so far he’s lived in toronto, salt lake city, amsterdam, boston, paris, london, tampa, athens, san francisco and washington dc. he’s really good with languages, but he prefers america so he always ends up back here (people move out of state all the time so there’s less suspicion). usually he enrolls in college, chooses a random degree, graduates, says he’s going off to grad school and moves away to start all over again. this time around, his major is marine biology with an emphasis on hydrothermal vents. he’s really smart, and as you’d expect, all this school means he knows at least something about everything. unfortunately, it also means he’s bored out of his mind bc he’s been to college so many times - he’s thinking about actually becoming a marine biologist, since he wouldn’t have to hold his breath underwater or worry about the water pressure getting to him or anything like that. plus, it would be a nice break from his routine.
