The opening post for Custom Maid General #13, I Will Protect the Master Edition.

This one took several hours to pose and I'm mostly satisfied with the result. It's inspired by art from classic beat'em ups like Final Fight and Streets of Rage. I didn't have enough time to meticulously create each enemy maid though that lead to an interesting bit of trivia.
I used the randomizer for them as a base and then tweaked them beyond that while taking care to select appropriate clothing and details.
While this was originally created only to promote Custom Maid General it ended up evolving into its own story arc and cast of characters.
Alice, Mary, and their Master are in the foreground.
In the background, from left to right the enemy maid's names are Ramune, Apricola, Dee Peppa, Fantasister, and Goddess Dwala.
Collectively they're known as the Pop Girls and are the elite maids of Empire Club Violetta. Each one is named after a different beverage.
Ramune: named after the Japanese soda of the same name. She's a mute that uses sign language to communicate and is master of Chinese martial arts. Though she normally keeps her eyes shut, the wider she opens them the more her speed and power increases. Because she excels at stealth she was able to capture Mary easily.
Apricola: a reference to both Coca Cola and apricot soda. Apricola is a sadist who's a bit of a xenophobe. She loves toying with people and kidnapping maids to add them to her collection of recruits. Judging Mary to be a quality maid she has Ramune capture her and the two hold her for ransom.
Dee Peppa: named after Dr. Pepper, Dee Peppa is a conceited and extremely annoying idol maid. She favors fighting with kitchen knives and has the ability to make clones of herself and other small illusions like taking on the appearance of other maids. She proclaims herself to be everyone's favorite idol and doesn't stop until everyone in the room is showering her with attention.
Fantasister: an android brought into the club as a sex machine. Programmed to satisfy a wide variety of fetishes Fantasister is lust incarnate and doesn't discriminate with her love. Though she's impervious to pain(due to her masochism modules) she can be overloaded. Named after the Fanta series of beverages. She immediately takes an interest in Mary.
Goddess Dwala: her reference is a little more obscure, but I named her after the Odwalla series of fruit smoothies. She's a cosplaying role player who's convinced that she's actually an elf, and worse, she's a god modder who proclaims her character to also be a Goddess. In other words, one of the worst kinds of RPers. Dwala is an expert markswoman who favors a bow but won't hesitate to also equip her patented Elven Shotgun™, which I assume does 1D6 of damage.

Since creating this I haven't been able to stop writing about it. Ultimately I'd like to make it into a series of strips.
