The old tree

It was there before the building of the temple. No one agrees on his exact species, and some argued it was too old to be safe and that it should be cut down. The elder protested. Not that the tree were sacred to the temple, but that it was sacred to him.

He said : "How could you talk about killing the only relative I have left ?"
