Ignis AU: Flame and Takeru

Asahi Homura: As a young boy he was always curious and fearless, running off and doing his own thing without a care in the world. This was a bad habit, his parents tried to break as often he would get himself hurt or lost. But Asahi was stubborn and hard headed so he would learn his lesson only to repeat it a couple days later.This unfortunately came to bite him later when he wandered too far from his parents during a festival and was taken.

He was much more aggressive than the other children in his time in the Hanoi project. Breaking equipment, scratching at walls, refusing food. It was far too late in the project they couldn’t take another child at this stage so Dr. Kogami had him sedated and forcibly attaching the duel set to the boy leaving him unable to take it off without causing immense pain.

A little time before he was saved Asahi got desperate, going mad being unable to take off the VR headset, and started to slam his head against the wall to take it off. It short circuited and screwed the neurons in his brain. Causing him to fall into a short coma, he was not found in his cell but in the small medical bay in the facility.

The doctors were concerned when Asahi wasn’t waking up, he eventually did but was in a coma for a month after he was saved. They found the boy very lifeless despite this as he had to be physically taken care of as he refuses to do anything but stare at nothing. The doctors realized that the VR set had screw with the chemicals in his brain damn near lobotomizing him.

He still has some emotions but their mostly muted, causing him to feel nearly nothing.

Asahi is friends with Kiku but there are times when being around him gets too much especially after he started to hang out with a Speed tribe that stayed mostly to the rural areas as it had more roads and less people/police. He had his own bike he won in a fight and would be gone from the house for days on end doing nothing but fighting, driving, and customizing it.

Finally the Grandparents got a call from the doctors saying they might be able to cure Asahi so he could feel emotions. During the times he was home they managed to convince him to try it.

So he goes under and comes back and everything is too much at once and has to undergo another adjustment period. He quits the Speed tribe, sells his bike, and spends the better part of a year learning how to get used to feeling again. He defaults to logic cause its easier to handle than emotions.

His Avatar deisgns colors were super hard but I enjoy how they look like now. His username is “Pheonix”. Simply as it feels like getting his emotions back he was reborn.

Takeru, who’s actual name is Soulburner in this au, he is essentially Asashi(Flame) cheerleader. His very very aggressive cheerleader who can go from cute nerd to terrifying Ignis monster in a heartbeat. He is on the side of the Ignis who likes being around humans, and is known as the best baord rider in Vrains.
