Amabie
Regarding the COVID-19 outbreak and all the news surrounding it, I figured I'd go ahead and join in on the whole Amabie craze that's been trending right now. For everyone out there, stay safe and keep washing your hands like there's no tomorrow!
Also, for those of you who are scratching your heads and wondering what an Amabie is, it's a Japanese yokai that resembles a mermaid with three legs and a beak. According to the folklore about it, this yokai emerged from the sea and gave the town's officials prophecy of an abundant harvest for the upcoming six years. Afterwards, the Amabie then told the officials to show a picture of it to cure anyone who falls ill if disease ever spreads before then disappearing back into the sea.
