Wishmaker is a mechanical doll created by Nanashi in the Endless Library.
She was made as a semi immortal being, being able to live for as long as they want, but can be killed.

In the past, Wishmaker was the frail daughter of a duke who once ruled the great kingdom of Eschatonia. The people who lived there had easily distinguishable features compared to those from outside the kingdom. They often had white hair and three pupils in each eye.

The nature of the kingdom was not very peaceful, there was often pettiness flowing around in the kingdom, which grew slowly. Because of this, the kingdom only lasted for around 500 years. The growing pettiness spread to other kingdoms in the outside world, and eventually war.

The kingdom was wiped out from the world map with the only survivors being those who managed to escape. Some of the lucky few were the Duke and Wishmaker.

As fugitives they wandered around the world looking for a way to be able to preserve even a small amount of their civilisation before their deaths. Unfortunately during this time, Wishmaker was in very bad health, she didn't have much longer to live. The duke had a box that could preserve anything placed inside from food to even living creatures for as long as the box was intact. The only way the Duke knew to keep his daughter alive was to put her in the box, except the box was too small only having the space to fit her head inside. This gave him no choice he had to do what he must, it was a painful decision but it was for his daughter's life.

He said his last words to Wishmaker; "I love you my daughter, but I can no longer be with you. From now on, your life will be much different from home.." then drugged her. Once unconscious, he proceeded to decapitate her with the swift swing of his sword, then quickly placing her head in the box. This guaranteed that Wishmaker's life will be put on hold until the box was opened.

After years of traveling and surviving, while keeping the box safe, the Duke found his way to the Endless Library, he had heard about the great entity behind the large doors of the structure and knew that whatever lived there would surely be able to preserve his final sample of the civilisation of Eschatonia.

When he met Nanashi, he gave the box to them with a final request; "Please take this box and immortalise our kind, my time is over and I must join the others.."

It took 10,000 years for the entity to create a body for Wishmaker but once it was done, the final piece, the head, was installed.
