There are those who say that Naoto is trans and they could not be more wrong, it only shows that they did not understand the growth of the character at all, she does not feel like a boy because she does, but because she thinks that she needs to be a man to be a detective, if she feels more comfortable with pants that with a skirt does not mean that she is trans, but that she grew up and educated like that, hence she acts and speaks like a boy.
