Bleach is a franchise that is very close to my heart. I grew up with reading both the manga and watching the anime, and have always adored it's characters, world, and epic battles.

I've drawn Ichigo a few times in the past when I used to use traditional methods in my art. I always admired Tite Kubo's artstyle and wish I could draw at his level of detail and consistency.

Whilst I'll always pale in comparison ... I'm happy with the outcome of this artwork.

I decided to go for a close up shot of Ichigo as I wanted to practice facial detail, tone, and position in a chose up scenario. I specifically attempted to match the anime in colour contrast as I wanted to reach the level of the anime's default style yet try to stay simplistic.

I also wanted to make this in respect to Bleach as a franchise and in excitement for the anime's final arc.
