Iris Ecklestein Sees the World
I was inspired a little by Yoji Shinkawa in the way he renders his figures with implied lines. I also took inspiration from Maki Kusumoto in her minimalism: a "less-is-more" approach for the landscape.
.
I think I could've let go a little bit more in my artstyle to create a more ephemeral/fleeting look. I would've like to play with different types of marks and strokes for rendering Iris, as well as parts of her jacket.
.
Overall, I did find my work stylistically interesting, so I continued to work on it more by adding color. Perhaps, it's a good first-step!
