Worms Maps - Rainbow Resort

Oh man, these are back, so I can keep posting more of the maps as I work on them! Really these are fun to make since I get a challange out of trying to represent a franchise on a level off iconography alone, and rest assured, Kirby ain't getting only one: I've got plenty of ideas for the pink round-shaped dude.

So we start Kirby out with the Rainbow Resort. Full disclosure my first Kirby game was Nightmare in Dream Land, so I have a soft spot for Adventure/Nightmare in general, and upon thinking a bit about it the layout of the level select hub for Rainbow Resort made for a very good basis for a map.

All I needed was to make it very colorful, complete it on the sides and add my typical flair, it turned out so pretty! ...and Gimp hated me for it when it had to convert it back into 90s color pallette, but hey, its called RAINBOW Resort for a reason.

Out of this map the one thing I can comment on specifically is Nova, pain in the butt to get drawn, but worth it for the sake of the Triumphant Return jokes. REALLY bad spot to stand on though, since people will inevitably aim at NOVA and not, you know, everyone else.

Oh and uh, the sprites are actually re-sprited and all, things like the blocks and Green Greens had to be custom made to fit in the map, if I have to use sprites I will usually touch them up a bit or just re-do them entirely.
