Jackal Pup Sharpshooter

Jackals have very keen senses and eyesight enabling them to hit a target at longer ranges than most Pups. Avid hunters of wildlife and game, they make an incredible use of a scoped version of the Gewehr 98.

Cubs never see it coming.

Jackal behaviour is very routine. They are always active around dawn or dusk, good low light concealment to be sniping from. They sleep at any other point in the day, but can be alerted easily, so watch your step when you attempt a night raid on the Pup Lair. Jackals also come in pairs. A spotter and a sniper. Together, they vigorously hunt Cub gatherers and pillagers to not only defend Pup territory but also earn "trophies" from their kill tallies. A Jackal will mark her zone or alert her prey to her presence by setting up crude decoys. A simple stick stabbed into the ground, a horizontal twig to form a cross, an old coat, and a Pup helmet forms the finishing touch. These totems are a sign that you're being watched and tracked.
