malnorished soniced (1st sprite)

there's 7 wonders of the world.. and then there's seven horrors of the world
the first would be neo's paper-maché penis from dognigga/dogningen, and the second would be whatever the hell this is supposed to be

5 days ago i made my very first sprite art and it's.. not very good
you can tell clear as day that it's sonic (which is good), but he looks so.. lifeless

i made this because i planned to make this srb2 campaign that would be my alternate sonic canon, with new designs, new lore, and all that stuff in between because it's my personal belief that the sonic franchise has a lot of potential that gets squandered over with sega's piss poor handling of the franchise (sonic boom being complete trash safe for the cartoon, frontiers being an overpriced sandbox physics testing game, mania just being a nostalgia trip, sonic colors and lost world's complete tonal shift from previous titles, sonic forces having the coolest concept so far but still managing to be shit somehow, etc.)(ironic since its their bread and butter), so i wanted to make something to spite them. but i can't go into it blind, so i made this sprite just to get a feel for the pixel art program i decided to use (libresprite)
i know nothing about pixel art, sonic adventure-style level design or coding (especially coding srb2)(i've used scratch.mit.edu but even at that i'm not super good with that either), but there is one thing i know: I HAVE TO BE BETTER THAN SEGA!!!
