I was born in Guatemala in 1998 and migrated to the United States when I was 9. I am currently living in Houston, Texas where I base most of my body of work. Being a migrant, I tend to gravitate towards things outside of my hispanic culture. In 2020 I will be graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a focus in traditional illustration and with an Art History minor from the University of Houston-Clear Lake. My body of work is influenced by the Japanese culture and video games, focusing on a synthesis of heavy stylized rendition of characters and bright poppy colors characteristic of Hispanic culture. I also enjoy learning more about techniques and traditions through research and listening to others outside of my culture by using the knowledge I’ve acquired through my Art History minor.
