Schnee (Novel AI)

Schnee is a Shadow serving Aurelia. She won't make her appearance until late in the Mid Game or at the beginning of Late Game due to Aurelia remaining inaccessible to the players until then. Players learn at the start of Mid Game Scin and Hrim both work for Aurelia. They won't get the details until Late Game when Aurelia becomes a bigger part of the story.

Schnee's specific role is Hrim's Support Shadow. When people hear the title, Support, they tend to think of that person as weaker or less important. That could not be more wrong. Even washouts of the Shadow training can be considered hyper-lethal fighters. Supports are full fledged Shadows and are just as capable as their Primary. The designation of the Support role and assigning of specific tasks is just to make the pair more efficient. Schnee happily goes about her duties of assisting Hrim with logistics, navigation, recon and overwatch, communications between teams and the Garden, and the myriad of other tasks that make the two run like a well oiled machine. When she does join Hrim in combat though, the true insurmountable power of a Shadow Pair is made horrifically clear.

Schnee has a pretty cheery personality and is normally pretty laid back. She has grown very close to Hrim in the handful of years they've been working together. The two bounce off each other very well and they get lost in lighthearted banter all the time, even during missions. It almost makes Hrim look completely unrelated to the doomy and gloomy monster that Scin is. Not long after pairing up, Schnee joined in Hrim's hobby of collecting alcohol. The two never miss a chance to try a new drink or hunt down a rare vintage, and enjoy fantasizing about Hrim's dream of opening a bar in Aurelia.

One very fun fact about Schnee, which players will get to learn about somewhere down the line, is that her parents raise dogs on their estate not far from Griswall, Aurelia's Capital. And not just a few. They have over 100 large breed dogs which roam freely in the fields around their massive property. As if Schnee wasn't lovable enough already. During the campaign, if Hrim is around, Schnee tends to be close by. She shares a substantial relationship with Scin as well, so the dynamic the three have is a welcome sight for people like Rena, who can see a side of Scin they don't normally get to. Schnee also used to be in a choir before joining the Shadow Garden. It isn't weird for her to be found humming or singing with Scin and Hrim happily enjoying.

Schnee's reference was Eula from Genshin. Giant sword and ice magic included. She was the one who first defined the Shadows as more than just solo operators when I was writing it all out. That gave birth to Scin's detached Support, the Maids and Butlers, and the entire Shadow Garden itself over time. It's hard to give a full context bigger picture out in 3000 words, but Schnee is a very important member of the cast and just as beloved. She's irreplaceable as Hrim's Support.
