Polaris For You
Hi. Uh. I'm currently DMing a DnD Campaign for my friends called Snow in Summer. It's based in an alternate version of the Ace Combat world Strangereal. I've been working on it since December of 2021, and even though we're playing now, that work is still ongoing. 1,500 hours and counting. I drew my campaign's cast and a lot of the lore from my favorite games, anime, and other weird things I like. There may be a few faces you've seen before if you're into any of that.
I found Novel AI around April or May of 2023, and started using it to make references for some of my characters. Thanks to NAI steadily updating and improving over time, I've been able to bring more and more of my most beloved characters from all over to life using NAI. This has helped me so much when it comes to making them fit into the story better, and giving them way more depth and context in certain situations that I wouldn't be able to do otherwise.
I bring a lot of what I make in NAI over here to Pixiv, normally with a write up of some of their lore from my campaign and some extra little details like the origins of their names and where they're actually from media wise. I make my references in batches, save them, and usually pick my favorite out of the bunch to use for a character's certain in game reference.
I'm not an artist and will never claim to be one. I've tried before and art just isn't something I can handle. Getting what I see in my head onto paper in any half decent form is too much for me. So at the end of the day I'm just a guy who loves anime and gaming. Thanks to NAI, I've been able to do things I never would have been able to do, and have gotten to make so many images that I love with all of my heart.
When I first decided to make a Pixiv, it was more to track my own progress over time. How I could handle NAI and hopefully get better at it. But since so many of my characters are anime and gaming related, I feel like now, I want it to be more about sharing the images I make in NAI with other people who also enjoy those same characters in their original context.
Thanks to the context of my campaign, a lot of these characters take on completely different roles, personalities, and lives in general. My only hope is that people can enjoy the little spins I put on these characters, the endless lore filled write ups I make for them, and the AI images I'm able to create, which directly supplement my campaign.
This is purely a passion project within a passion project, but it still feels really nice to share everything I've been working on with others. You are more than welcome to use whatever I post for your own purposes. Sharing is caring. Thank you for your support. Sorry I'm always long winded. Like always. Enjoy. :)
