Batalla de Nochistlan. Mixtón

The Mixton War was one of the most important conflicts in the firts century of New Spain viceroyally. The Caxcan people rebelled against spanish goverment and win a lot of conflict in Nochistlan (the city in this photo) and the new Guadalajara. Here started the #MixtonWar, in the Nochistlan fortress-city. The Caxcan people entrenched in their city that named Xic Conecan by themselves. Conquers gave the modern name of the city "Nochistlan". It is meaning in nahuatl (The place of "Nochtli" (prickly pear fruit) or The place of "Nochistli" (grana cochineal))

When the New Spain Viceroy Antonio de Mendoza went to Mixton War to give help to guadalajara's goverment. A lot of people joined to the army, ones of them was:

* The Purepecha People with their leader, the Irecha (kind of military king) Pedro Cuinierángari (left). with tarascan badge.

* The Metzcas for metztitlan (middle), probably Hñähñu etnicity (or Otomi). They were neves conquested by Mexica, resist the Spanish incurtion and negocited a no equitative aliance in 1524. After, Metzcas went to some wars like Mixton war.

* The lord of Tlalmanalco, Don Francisco de Sandoval Acacitzin (right). he wrote a chronicle about this war and specificlly the second battle of Nochistlan. He wrote that went to Purepechan and Metzcas in this battle. Others groups was Mexicas, Texcocans, Tlaxcaltecas, Huejotzincas and Spanians
