Regen V3 (Novel AI)

I was going through my posts last night to get all of Viola's stuff together and happened to notice I haven't done anything for Regen in a very hot minute. Since it's been a while I'll do a recap. Regen was my character in our previous campaign. She was an anemic blood mage who got teleported out of Belka in Strangereal, i.e. the Ace Combat world, and into my wife's campaign. It took place at a school called the Academy where she searched for a way to get home with some help from one of her teachers. Unfortunately, she didn't make it to the right home. She got back to Strangereal, but a different version of it. Meaning the world she knew was gone.

Regen had a ton of baggage before that slap in the face. She went through the AC universe's Belkan War. She lived in Hoffnung her entire life and escaped the city with her mother Taishe and sister Iris when it was firebombed, about 2 weeks after her 16th birthday. She survived the nuke in Waldreich a week later and was present at Avalon when V2 went off, somehow warping her to the Academy. She has a substantial amount of PTSD and outright horrific memories from everything she experienced during that period. She isn't aware Iris is on Sova Island and won't find out until the Late Game. Ironically, Regen ended up landing in Oured. Osea's Capital. The nation that led the firebombing campaign on her home city, which killed tens to hundreds of thousands of people, including her father. Elle happened to find her near a bridge contemplating ending things, and brought her home to try and help her.

I can't find the exact timing, but it'll have been around 20-25 years since Regen had made it to my campaign's world before the players meet her in the Mid Game Opener. She ended up staying with Elle, an elf who works for one of the largest Adventurer Guilds in Oured, and married her 2 years later. Regen is Lillia's birth mother. She's kept her blood magic a secret due to her being afraid she'd be labeled as some kind of Demon, and only lets on that she was a caster before her anemia forced her to stop. She'll reveal it to the players and Lillia, and also that her magic is hereditary, meaning Lillia can use blood magic too.

Regen's day to day life is very relaxed. While Elle works full time, Regen spends a lot of time at home cleaning, reading, and practicing her magic in private. She can only do so much with her anemia, but tries to get out when she can. She loves going to the market for apples. She's known as the crazy apple lady. In good fun of course. She also works smaller part time jobs on occasion to help bring in extra money and get some exercise.

I may do more Regen in a while since she comes back in the Late Game. She's dear to my heart so count on some kind of update. Regen was based of Specter from AK. Her adult reference is Specter Unchained. Enjoy.
