Gracemeria Art Contest

Last session we went to Gracemeria. We made a quick stop at Gracemeria Castle, before moving to our first event at the Gracemeria Central Museum. That event was my long awaited Surprise Drawing Contest. All of the players were told to open up whatever drawing program they had on hand at the time, and were given 30 minutes to draw something. Flaxen's prompt was "something you love." But they were allowed to draw anything. It was a full 30 minutes of listening to all of my players freaking the hell out and desperately trying to make things work.

We'll start off with the winner, who won with 3 votes, Quinari and her adorable Sunflower. She actually knows how to draw, may or may not have been given a heads up as a reward for making me something for Flaxen which I unfortunately can't post because it uses her in game art, so it wasn't too much of a surprise that she won.

I don't have the rest of the votes because my chat logs are bugged so we'll just go in the order I clicked them in.

Next we have Erolith, our Belkan player, who struggled to find something she loved. Apparently she has a drawing pad too, but because she had no warning, she didn't have it with her. Which made this even funnier because she was going nuts trying to figure out what to draw. She ended up doing a cute little boat on the ocean at night. Unfortunately the idea of drawing her bullying Mizaru, which she loves to do because Miz is a filthy Neko and she is a Belkan Noble, came a bit too late. Unlucky.

Nest is... Mizaru. Oh lord this was funny. The guy playing Miz has been my BFF since high school I knew he would do something off the wall. He outdid himself with this one. Since Mizaru is a chronic gambler and has literally sold off her parents to pay off a gambling debt, it was 0 surprise that he went straight for the money. He was using Paint 3D and found the 3d objects tab. Yeah. He went a bit nuts. I was dying. Was hilarious.

Then we have Pima. She's our Star Seeker/Clairvoyant. Again not really surprising, she went for the stars. There's actually a lot of detail in there, it just won't let me make it any bigger because of the file type and Discord was being a bit weird with a lot of these pics.

Second last we have Yuta. His entire persona is based around screwing with the people around him in very subtle ways. Slipping things into people's pockets, moving stuff around, just weird and not really harmful stuff. He spent 10 minutes trying to make all his lines parallel, and ended up with this lovely book about being an ass with magic.

Last but not least, we have my/Rena's submission. Her rendition of Scin, that I posted a long time ago. Which I made over a year ago. It took me 18 minutes to make at around 3:30 AM with Paint 3D. Praise me and her.

Flaxen drew her family crest, which I had a reference for, so I can't post that one.

This was a hilarious event for all of us. We had a ton of fun. Enjoy the results of 30 minutes of light torture. :)
