Domain Discarded Fireworks Maker
This is a reupload of my old DA work, with a slightly modified title and description to account for Pixiv's character limit.
I kinda like to think that the Traveler got so used to running domains over and over that it took a few runs to realize something was very different.

Artist's Journal:
- Inspiration: The Traveler is ready get some talent materials with plenty of resin. ...Err, what's that by the stairs?
• I was actually given a lot of artistic freedom to make this piece. The original concept was that the Traveler would find Yoimiya somewhere in the open world, but was switched to a domain later.
• Additional ideas that got drafted up before the domain was selected as the setting included Yoimiya being rolled over on accident by Sayu, her being careless with lifting supplies while helping Ryuunosuke/Thoma, and Yoimiya having a fireworks accident while tinkering with new material.
- What I thought would be a small job actually had a lot of issues surrounding it.
• Folding Lumine's dress properly against the ground took a lot of work and even some manual sculpting to fix clipping and smooth the folds out. I heavily improved it after getting a second opinion and redoing it.
• As a recreation, I sought to replicate the domain's lighting, but that same lighting wasn't sufficient to make Lumine and Yoimiya visible enough, so I had to render them and Yoimiya's bow separately. Additionally, lighting one of them would often interfere with the shadows of another, so I also had to separate those as well to adjust them accordingly. In summary, several renders had to be stitched together to form the final one.
• There were two spots where meshes overlapped too closely on Yoimiya, which made them appear black. I forgot to account for one of these overlaps after a lot of work had already been done, so one extra rerender was needed. Thankfully, this was quite minor in comparison to the other two glaring problems I just mentioned.

Trivia:
1. In Universe:
- Violet Court is the domain for grinding Inazuman character talent level up materials.
- The bow in the bottom right corner is the Hamayumi, which Yoimiya is depicted holding in her official art.
2. Personal:
- There's an interesting, but small chain of events that's behind how this originally got made.
• I had a dream where some new Mario Party that released with four different types of flattenings, but when I went to go try it out, Yoimiya was the one on the receiving end of it all.
• The pose she has in the picture was what stuck out to me the most out of my dream and I ended up drafting a rough version of it with an unfixed Yoimiya which I sent to the commissioner. It ended up influencing them pretty heavily, enough to the point of wanting it to be made official.

How did Yoimiya get crushed sideways in the first place?
