Dragonía: Mountain Gobíls

The Gobíls are green-skinned, carnivorous humanoids native to southwestern Dragonía, found throughout the Sjorg Desert and the northern and western parts of the Múlíat Mountains. The main Gobíl cultures in the latter region are Hrens, Kóhans and Traks, each of which are divided into a number of tribes or city-states. Common aspects among these different groups are matriarchy (Gobíl women are stronger and more aggressive than the men), polyandry and the worship of a sky goddess and earth god as the highest deities.
The first scene depicts a Hren family in the northern mountains. Hrens live most similarly to the common ancestors of all Gobíls, being nomadic hunters and fishermen who use neither metal tools nor pottery, but are skilled at jewelry, statuettes and instruments out of bones and horns.
The middle scene shows a Kóhan queen with her husbands receiving tribute from a shepherd. Their societies consist of a warrior aristocracy and clerics ruling over craftsmen, antelope- and shepherds, and slaves. They often clash with the other sapient species in the Múlíat Mountains, and are ancestors of both Óraxes and Krekkúxes who inhabit Sjorg Desert to the west.
The third scene depicts a Trak shaman leading her tribe to safety. Traks are descendants of Kóhans who inhabit Dakrúzú Peninsula, the southernmost part of the Múlíat Mountains where earthquakes and volcanic eruptions are common. Their societies are ruled by female shamans who can sense when the earth is about to rumble and alert the people in time. Although often harsh, this environment also provides the Traks with fertile valleys, obsidian, precious stones and metals, and unique plants and animals which can be sold for other goods when needed.
