Zygarde Zero Suit Serena Diving

The Pokemon day of this year is finally over and with it we got the proper reveal of the new Legends Z-A, a long awaited second game of the new Legends series that is more experimental with the Pokemon formula. As such I only see fitting to publish a picture closely linked to this new game. For this picture I commissioned my good friend Scrophopper to draw a lineart that I coloured afterwards of Serena scuba diving with her zero suit. As you might remember if you’re a long time watcher, I’ve drawn her with her zero suit before. Then I used her colour scheme of wine red and grey colour scheme for her zero suit based on her Journeys design, for this time I got a brand new colour scheme more befitting for the new adventure we are about to embark on this year. As you can see for Serena’s scuba gear and zero suit, I decided to give her a colour scheme that is based on the Pokemon Zygarde that is going to play an important role, with the main colours being green and black. This colour scheme is also used for Serena’s Sygna suit in Pokemon Masters EX, her Sygna suit alt there is also pretty much the only time the games have officially acknowledged the short hair Serena from our beloved XY anime. Getting that alt cost me almost a fortune in gacha, it definitely was worth it and I will hear no dissenting voices ^^. Since Z-A was going to set place in the future version of Lumiose City, I decided that it Serena would use advanced setup of double hose rebreather setup as her scuba gear. This kind of futuristic scuba gear that is efficient in circulating her air supply is certainly fitting match for her futuristic zero suit. I can already imagine Serena to be special agent that is tasked with catching various Pokemon that are hard to pin down such as Clawitzer, something similar to the certain famous bounty hunter from Nintendo ^^.

Overall I had lovely process with coming up with this picture scenario, it was fun to flex my creative muscles with coming up with new colour scheme and scuba gear type for one of my favourite Pokegirls. Seeing Serena with double hose setup is most pleasing to my eyes since that’s my second most favourite scuba gear type after LAMA gear. It is certainly refreshing to see that setup on pokegirls since most of them use LAMA gear to boost their cuteness, Serena certainly would benefit from that boost as well even though she is adorable already. Maybe in the future she will use different gears on her dives as well ^^.
