Ａ：以下の３つが理由です。
１．もともとは自分のオリジナル小説のキャラクターとして数人のキャラクターを考え出したけど、首都高バトル、街道バトルシリーズのキャラを出す時に新しく名前やデザインを考えるのが面倒だったから「だったら流用しよう。」と考えたから。
２．ドリームキャストの首都高バトル２と、プレイステーション２の首都高バトル０では、日本国内版と海外でのローカライズ版では、人物の名前が全く違うものだったから、１つ目の理由と合わせて「じゃあやっぱり名前が変わっていてもいいじゃん！」で納得したから。
３．いろいろな車を小説に出すにあたって、「それなら他のキャラクターも車と名前が変わっていないと統一感がないよね」と歯止めが利かなくなったから。

Q: Why did you change the characters' names from the original?
A: There are three reasons below.
1. I originally came up with a few characters for my own original novel, but when I was introducing characters from the Shutoko Battle and Kaido Battle series, it was a pain to come up with new names and designs, so I thought, ``Then I'll reuse them.''
2. In Shutoko Battle 2 for the Dreamcast and Shutoko Battle 0 for the PlayStation 2, the names of the characters were completely different in the Japanese domestic version and the overseas localized version, so in conjunction with the first reason, I was convinced that the names could be changed after all!
3. When it came to introducing various cars into the novel, I couldn't stop myself from thinking, ``If that's the case, the cars and names of the other characters must also change, otherwise there won't be a sense of unity.''
