Solarian Fuji-class Battleship
A variant of this spaceship design I made earlier:

DESCRIPTION
The Fuji-class battleship is an upgraded variant of the Kongo-class Fast Battleships designed as fleet command ships for Solarian Navy’s cruiser squadrons. The class offers better protection, armor, and firepower compared to standard Imperial battleships. Major modifications include a new superstructure fitted with advanced communication equipments and fleet command facilities tailored for flagship duties. The class also features a larger spacecraft capacity, with the ventral section on the baseline Kongo design reconfigured into extra hangar space for gunships and ground vehicles for troop deployment in planetary landings.
Additionally, the dorsal hangar was also enlarged to house larger spacecraft complement and maintenance facilities. Shield generators also have been upgraded to match those of a super dreadnought, and while the Fuji-class main armament retaining the same 46cm beam cannons as the Kongo, the number of guns has been increased to sixteen mounted in heavily armored prow mountings. These modifications, while enhancing the ship’s combat capabilities, added more mass and power requirements, necessitating a more powerful reactor design and a reworked propulsion system to maintain performance comparable to a baseline Kongo-class fast battleship.
Originally drafted as an improved variant of the Kongo design, plan to mass produce these ships was cancelled. The cost of the modifications made each ship as expensive as a new super dreadnought or fleet carrier, with performance that didn’t justify the expense. Coupled with concerns of supply bottlenecks and construction delays for more modern ships, production ceased after only 225 vessels were built, representing only 5% of the total production of the Kongo-class and its derivatives. These ships were later redesignated as the Fuji-class Fast Battleships and are mainly employed as fleet command ships, where their firepower and heavy protection proved to be valuable assets in the Imperial Navy battle groups throughout the war against the Sagittarians.
